Barakat Contractors Ltd is a family owned and operated business. Over three generations it has grown to become one of New Zealands leading fencing companies.

With 30 years experience in the industry Barakat Contractors now provide a broad range of systems in the Agricultural and Security Fencing sectors. They specialise in chainlink & electric security, rural and residential fencing, and retaining walls.

Barakat has a well established workshop, with modern plant and 25 well-trained staff. We have, when required, a builder, fitter, electrician, and 5 ton excavator with drilling equipment. All work is carried out under the supervision of senior staff. Barakat Contractors have a very good record of reliability and efficiency. Our policy has always been to use quality materials and guarantee all work.

Barakat Contractors’ employees have first aid and site safety certificates, with all safety and first aid equipment supplied.

The use of equipment and general safety conditions are written into individual staff employment contracts. Barakat Contractors have a ten million dollar public liability insurance in place.

Although many of their installations are undertaken in the Auckland and Waikato regions, Barakat's reputation and skills are regularly called upon on sites from Kaikohe to Invercargill.
